LGBTQ+
Reunite Families UK support the LGBTQ+ community in their fight against the Home Office's unfair rules. All our families face huge hardships when dealing with the Home Office just to be with their loved ones and those within the LGBTQ+ Community have an extra set of issues that they have to navigate as well when applying for the right to live with their spouse and/or partner.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBTQ+) immigrants often face unique challenges due to their sexual orientation or gender identity. Many LGBTQ+ people are forced to leave their countries of origin to escape violence and/or social ostracism and are then thrust into an unjust immigration system on top of that. Too many are often being placed in detention centres where they face even more perilous situations.
Many LGBTQ immigration advocates have worked hard to spotlight the precarious situation of the LGBTQ+ community as they go through the visa process and we, at Reunite Families UK, will continue to help and advocate for their basic and fundamental human right to a family life.
