‘To hurt Putin, steal his top students?’

‘To hurt Putin, steal his top students.’ (Mikhail Kokorich/Politico) Interesting perspective arguing for relaxation of visa restrictions as a way to fight the dictatorship (and dictatorships in general), and specifically arguing against restrictions and bureaucracy which prevent freedom of movement for ordinary people who may be victims of the regime – and to be able to contribute to our societies.

Kokorich also writes on LinkedIn : ‘In short, rereading Remarque’s Arc de Triomphe, you realize that nothing has changed in Europe in 80 years. Despite all the declarations of openness and universal human values, helping Ukraine and refugees from there – who certainly need to be helped – Europe shifts the collective blame onto all Russians and gladly hits those who are easier to reach – refugees from Putin’s Russia.’
