Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis

RFUK is currently responding to the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis. If you have family members in Ukraine or who have fled to another country, and you are trying to bring them to the safety of the UK to be with you please do get in touch with us immediately. Please contact us if you have information on what challenges people are facing on the ground in Ukraine or having fled to another country; or issues being faced when dealing with the Home Office helpline and other services such as the Visa Application Centres (VACs).

We are collecting real life experiences so that we can inform government and immigration lawyers who we are working with to enable us to push for emergency visa concessions that do not currently exist.

RFUK is not not currently able to give immigration advice. We are referring people to a new, free immigration advice service that has been set up by a small team of immigration lawyers called Ukraine Advice Project. They are receiving a large number of emails so please do bear with them – they are doing their best under extraordinary circumstances but will get back to you.

If you are a local community organisation that is trying to help Ukrainian citizens or families of Ukrainian citizens please get in touch with us asap hello@reunitefamiliesuk.co.uk

Tell your story...

Reunite Families UK is hosting a Zoom call to give families in the UK with family members in Ukraine — or Ukrainian family member who is trying to get to the UK — an opportunity to share the experiences / situations you are all facing to enable us to push the British government for more family visa concessions.

There will be immigration lawyers on the call, and we have also requested the presence of MPs who deal with immigration matters so they too can hear what you are facing. Please note that the lawyers will not be able to give one to one advice on the call.

This is a good opportunity to have your story heard and help push for urgent changes

The call with take place:

If you’d like to join this call, please email us immediately at hello@reunitefamiliesuk.co.uk and please do share with anyone you know who may wish to use this opportunity.

We are urging people to write to their MPs to ask them to push the Home Secretary to go further to help Ukrainian people fleeing a war. We have made it a bit easier for you by creating a template. This is important action that you can take today so please share it far and wide. You can also sign a petition that has been set up by the Independent newspaper.

If you would like to help refugees coming into the UK by offering accommodation etc please contact Reset or Refugees at Home.
